Terms of Use

Last updated August 17, 2026

These terms cover what you can expect from this site and what we expect from you. The short version: we are a licensed brokerage, not an insurer; the questionnaire gives you a shortlist rather than a quote; and the insurer's policy document is what actually governs your coverage.

1.About these terms

This website is operated by Parish Insurance & Financial Services Inc., carrying on business as IB Insurance Solutions Inc. ("we", "us"), an independent insurance brokerage licensed in Alberta and British Columbia. Randy Parish is the licensed broker.

By using this site or completing the questionnaire, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site — call us on 780-448-0783 instead and we will help you the old-fashioned way.

2.What EasyPlans is

EasyPlans is a comparison tool run by a brokerage. You answer questions about your household and what coverage matters to you, and we show you the extended health plans we carry that come closest to fitting.

We are not an insurance company. We do not underwrite, issue or administer any plan, and we do not decide whether you are accepted or what you pay. Those decisions belong to the insurer.

We compare the plans available through our brokerage. That is a wide range, but it is not every plan sold in Canada, and a plan we do not carry is not necessarily a worse plan for you.

3.Your results are a starting point, not a quote

The shortlist the questionnaire produces is generated automatically from the answers you give and the plan information we hold. Treat it as a starting point for a conversation.

Specifically, the results are not:

  • An offer of insurance, or a promise that any insurer will accept you.
  • A binding quote. Premiums shown are indicative; the insurer sets the actual price when you apply.
  • Personalised financial, tax, legal or medical advice. Nothing here is a substitute for talking to a licensed broker, and nothing here should factor into a decision about your medical care.
  • Confirmation that a plan is still available or that its terms are unchanged.

Plan details, benefit limits and prices change, and the policy document issued by the insurer always governs over anything shown on this site. Read it before you buy.

4.The answers you give us

The comparison is only as good as what goes into it. You agree that the information you submit is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge, and that where you provide details about a spouse or dependant you are authorised to do so.

Inaccurate or incomplete answers can produce a shortlist that does not fit, and can affect an application or a future claim with an insurer. If something changes, tell us.

5.Who can use this site

You must be at least 18 and a resident of Alberta or British Columbia to submit the questionnaire on your own behalf, because those are the jurisdictions we are licensed in. Coverage for children is arranged through a parent or guardian's application.

6.How we are paid

We receive a standard commission from the insurance carrier when you buy a plan through us. That commission is already built into the price of the plan and does not increase your premium. You pay us nothing directly. We disclose this before you start the questionnaire so you can weigh our recommendations knowing how we earn.

7.Availability of the site

We aim to keep the site running, but we do not guarantee it will be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it — including the questionnaire and the plans it compares — without notice. If the site is down and you need help, phone us.

8.Our content

The design, text, questionnaire and comparison logic on this site belong to us or our licensors. You may read, print and share pages for your own personal use in choosing a plan.

You may not copy the site or its content for a competing service, scrape or bulk-download it, or use automated tools to submit questionnaires. Carrier names and logos belong to the carriers and appear here to identify their plans.

10.Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, from the site being unavailable, or from a decision you make based on the shortlist without confirming the details with us or the insurer.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for anything that cannot be limited by law, and nothing in them displaces the duties we owe you as a licensed insurance brokerage. Your rights under Alberta consumer protection legislation are unaffected.

11.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute goes to the courts of Alberta.

12.Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and the version posted when you use the site is the one that applies.

Questions about these terms, or about a plan, go to info@innovativebenefits.ca, or 780-448-0783 (435, 450 Ordze Road, Sherwood Park, AB T8B 0C5). How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
